How it works:
Laser Genesis is the most comfortable non-invasive laser treatment using consistent pulses of energy, penetrating into the dermal layer to stimulate collagen production. On the surface (epidermis) fine lines, pore size, diffused redness/dialated capillaries and scarring redness are reduced.
Laser Genesis is the ideal treatment for people with Rosacea, a very common skin condition and starts as redness in the center of the face, including the forehead, chin, nose, and cheeks.

What do treatments feel like?
Laser Genesis is the most comfortable of all the laser treatments we offer at Fresh Glow Skin Co. The skin will gain redness and you will feel a sense of warmth. The redness and sense of warmth are normal skin reactions that will pass within minutes to a few hours after the session. Certain area's are more sensitive and it can feel hot at times, but most often people compare it to sunlight in a concentrated area, and many clients even fall asleep during the session.
How to prepare for my appointment?
If possible please arrive with no make up. Men should be cleanly shaved. You should avoid excessive sun exposure 1-2 weeks before the treatment. Tanned skin is not a contraindication prior to treatment. Its best to avoid the use of retinols 3-5 days prior to treatment and 3-5 days post treatment. Wait at least 7-10 days after receiving any cosmetic injections such as Botox and 2 weeks after receiving any fillers. You should avoid excessive sweating from exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24 hours post treatment. There is still heat from the laser in your skin so this can cause irritation. Wearing SPF 30 or higher everyday, reapplying every 2 hours is what we recommend not only to maintain treatment results but it is also the best protection from premature aging.
When should I expect results?
Although your skin will look better immediately, the results continue over time, as the collagen builds over the month following the treatment. Laser Genesis is known for its cumulative effect. Whether your goal is to soften fine lines, fade scarring, even skin tone, or calm redness form rosacea, Laser Genesis is a must treatment. Treatments are best spaced 2-4 weeks apart depending on you skin condition.
For Rosacea a series of 4-6 sessions is usually recommended for optimal results. With maintenance every 4-6 months.
