How does it work?
The Scarlet S RF Microneedling is a revolutionary system that delivers short-pulse radiofrequency (RF) energy through specialized microneedles. RF microneedling is a novel approach to deliver fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy to all layers of the skin including the deeper layers , where treatment is most beneficial, with minimal damage to the skin’s surface targeting virtually any skin issue. The radiofrequency delivers heat directly to the dermis, stimulating or triggering our natural collagen and elastin production, creating new, healthier collagen resulting in tighter, smoother, gravity-defying skin.
What do treatment feel like?
We use a topical numbing agent to make the treatment as comfortable as possible and it is quite tolerable especially with our device compared to others out there.
Immediately following the treatment, you will notice a rosy flush and a warm sensation like a sunburn but both generally dissipate within a few hours after your treatment. The redness and some swelling is to be expected, and can sometimes last till the next day.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
If possible please arrive with no make up. No retinols or hydroquinone for 3-5 days prior to appointment, no Accutane 6 months prior to treatment and no antibiotics or sun sensitizing medications 7-10 days prior to appointment. Wait at least 7-10 days after receiving any cosmetic injections such as Botox and 2 weeks after receiving any fillers. Avoid sun exposure prior to treatment by using an SPF of 30 or higher, you should avoid excessive sweating from exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24 hours post treatment. There is still heat from the treatment in your skin so this can cause irritation. Wearing SPF 30 or higher everyday, reapplying every 2 hours is what we recommend not only to maintain treatment results but it is also the best protection from premature aging.

When should I expect results?
Some visible tightening results come immediately and the results of dermal remodeling appear gradually over two to three months as collagen and elastin fibers regenerate and new collagen and elastin bonds replace the old weaker cells at the surface. Results after one treatment can last a year to a year and a half. After a series of three treatments results can last up to three years.
Depending on your desired results, skin type, condition and age, the total number of treatments can vary person to person. We recommend a series of treatments to achieve the optimum result 3 to 6 sessions four to six weeks apart. However you will see results from just one treatment!
